They brought food for about six weeks.

Then it stopped — the way it always stops, because everybody has their own kitchen. And you stayed in the house with what was left.

Everyone asked how your heart was doing.
Nobody asked who signs the permission slips now.

This is a private show about the part nobody helps with. Not the grief. The Tuesday.

The 6 o'clock hour with three people needing you at once and one of you. The blank second line on every form. The 9:30 quiet when nobody asks how your day was. The thing you think at 2am that you have never said out loud to a single human being.

I'm going to say those things out loud. Because somebody said them to me exactly zero times in five years, and I'd have given anything.

Who I am

I was widowed at 43 with three kids under eight. I also have an MBA, I built a physician's practice from the ground up, and I've led a team of forty for sixteen years.

I'm not a therapist and I'm not a grief coach. Therapy works on your heart. I work on your Tuesday.

This isn't for you if you want someone to tell you it gets easier with time. I'll tell you it gets covered. That's a different promise and it's the one I can keep.

Free. Plays in the podcast app you already use.

Leave better than when you arrived.
